Tenets to Grow by

While in operation, food at Ahswanee Farm was grown organically (no pesticides, herbicides, any kind of -cides!). The farm was not certified organic. I used different methods to minimize crop failures, such as: planting different varieties of the same crop, succession planting, row covering, electric fencing, and irrigation. Food was grown with minimal impact to the soil and native pollinators were supported by providing food sources and a safe habitat free from pesticides.  To learn more about pollinators and how you can protect them, check out the Xerces Society.
